Husband, 108, and Wife, 105, Celebrate 82 Years of Marriage

Centenarians, Duranord and Jeanne Veillard have been married for 82 years and while Duranord celebrated his 108th birthday last month, his wife will turn 105 in May.

Duranord was born in 1907 to a fisherman in southern Haiti. He grew up in Port-au-Prince, where he studied law, and married Jeanne in November 1932, and they raised five children together.

Ernie and Renie Hills, from Devon, have survived a World War, a bout of tropical thrombosis and even a stint in an iron lung during their incredible 74 years of marriage.

Alake of Egbaland - Proud To Be The Husband Of One Woman, 43 Years And Counting

The Alake of Egbaland HRH Oba Michael Adedotun Gbadebo says he's proud to be married to only one woman, Olori Tokunbo, and so far, they have been married for 43 years. He became the Alake of Egbaland in 2005, and is said to be the only long serving Oba in this country with only one wife.

The Oba revealed recently at a wedding where he was the chairman that he still shares the same bed with his wife and mother of his children, this was after he praised her for being an incredible partner. He said they have a strong bond and he never had the need to marry another woman.

Mrs Annie Odediran is Chinese  but grew up in Malaysia as a Buddhist. She converted to Christianity as a student in Australia, which was also where she met her Nigerian would-be husband for the first time in 1982. After he returned to Nigeria, they continued their relationship long distance via letters and phone calls. After opposition from both sides of the family mainly from her family, the couple got married in 1988.

Woman Enjoys Honeymoon With Husband Cleared for Murder And Released After 26 Years in Prison

The story of Mark and Mia Shand is one that got me teary-eyed and I'm sure you will cry too when you get to know this amazing woman and how she stood by her man.

In 1986, about a year after Mia and Mark met, Mark was arrested, convicted and sentenced to life without parole for a murder he has now been cleared from. Last October, lawyers proved he had nothing to do with the crime and he was released.

CBS news caught up with the couple three months later, and it was their honeymoon. They had been married almost 20 years, but this was the longest amount of time the couple were spending together. This is the true meaning of "Love is patient and endures all things..., not the type force-fed to some women in abusive marriages.

Real Love Story - Man Who Shared Love Letter to Wife in the Newspaper Met Her in School

87-year-old Bob Phillips used his 61st anniversary to post a tribute to his bride on the celebrations page of their local newspaper, and now he is sharing their story of how they met.

In his “Dear Gail” letter, Phillips said he’s been checking brides’ photos every Sunday since their June 27, 1953, wedding but haven't found anyone as pretty as his bride.

Phillips, who had a triple bypass last fall, concludes his note by telling his 79-year-old wife he hopes to celebrate another 61 years with her, and “beyond that I pray we will spend eternity together.”

For their 61st anniversary this year, 87-Year-Old Bob Phillips decided to write his wife Gail, a love letter and publish it in their local newspaper, the Charlotte Observer. He wrote:

Dear Gail,
I look at newspaper pictures of new brides every Sunday. I’m searching. I want to see if there is now or ever will be another bride as lovely as you. Been doing that since June 27, 1953.

Actually, I already know the answer. There is not — and never will be to me – your equal in loveliness. On our wedding day you were the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. The delightful truth is that you still are.
